Who we are
We are Aizle, a restaurant dedicated to seasonal and local ingredients based in heart of Edinburgh.
We want to make sure you get the best experience when using this website. To do this, we are using a few external systems but try to collect as little data from you as we can, and only ever when we really need to. The policy outlined here gives you an overview how and why we do this. By using our website, you agree to be bound by it.

Types of data we collect
Data you give us via email
Whenever you get in touch with one of our email addresses (like reservations@aizle.co.uk) we will collect all the information in that email, like your name and email address, and everything else you choose to give to us.
Data we collect when you make a reservation
We use ResDiary for our reservations to make the process easy between this site and our restaurant. To ensure that all reservations are processed easily and successfully, they collect your name, email address, phone number and card details. See their privacy policy We do not store this information and only interface with ResDiary on our site.
Data we collect when you make a voucher purchase
When you purchase a voucher, we collect your data to allow us to personalise the voucher and get in touch if we have to. The data we collect includes your name, email address and telephone number. If you wish for us to send the voucher, we will also collect the delivery name and address. We use third-party payment processor Stripe to ensure all transactions are correct. Your card details are processed by Stripe only and never stored by us. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
Website Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of software that are placed on your device for a certain amount of time. They allow us understand how you use the site and help us improve it in the future — but they do not tell us anything we could use to identify you. In detail, we are using the following cookies:

We are obliged and happy to protect the privacy of children aged 16 or under. If you are aged 16 or under‚ please ensure you obtain your parent/guardian’s prior permission whenever you provide us with your personal information.
Accessing and Updating your data
At any point, you have the right to access the information we hold, and you have the right for us to delete the information permanently.
If that is the case, please write us at jade@aizle.co.uk and we will respond to your request as soon as reasonably practicable within 31 calendar days, in compliance with the GDPR.

Certain data is exempt from the provisions of the GDPR which includes the following:
- National security and the prevention or detection of crime
- The assessment of any tax or duty
- Where the processing is necessary to exercise a right or obligation conferred or imposed by law upon the company.

The accuracy of your information is important to us. We’re always working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the personal information that we’re holding. Please be aware that whilst we take all reasonable precautions to protect any data in transit, we cannot 100% guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us via this medium, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.
